Royal jelly is a secretory product produced from the hypopharyngeal and mandibular (upper jaw and throat) glands in the head of young worker bees (5-15 days old). Royal jelly is used for different purposes in the food, health and cosmetics industries in many countries for its therapeutic and strengthening properties. There are studies that royal jelly has positive effects such as antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-allergic, antitumor (10-HDA and dicarboxylic acids have inhibitory effects), anti-inflammatory, cell repair and strengthens the immune system.

Developed within the scope of the DEVELOPMENT OF FUNCTIONAL BEE PRODUCTS Project, this product is produced by lyophilization (freezing-vacuuming-drying) method to preserve the bioactive components in royal jelly. The product is offered for sale in pharmacies by BALPARMAK under the brand name "APİTERA PLUS".
