AMS Laboratory
It is the first and only AMS Laboratory of our country that can perform age determination with Accelerated Mass Spectroscopy (AMS), the most sensitive analysis method used in the fields of earth, marine, environmental sciences, archaeology, biomedicine and criminology, and ends our foreign dependence. With the Carbon 14 method, organic remains can be dated and aged up to 50 thousand years before today.

Age determination by Carbon 14 analysis on samples of organic origin such as charred material, wood, seeds, cavities, bones, paper, parchment, coral, sediments

As the most advanced laboratory in the Middle East and the Balkans, it has been serving Carbon-14 age determination requests from public institutions / organizations and abroad at world standards since 2016.
