Polymer Electrolyte Membrane (PEM) Electrolyzer Module
About
The PEM Electrolyzer Module is a strategic product that demonstrates Turkey's competence in technologies that not only consume hydrogen (fuel cells) but also produce it. This THS 6-level prototype lays the foundation for a national capability in the critical future areas of energy storage and green hydrogen production. The maturation of this technology is of great importance for increasing the security of energy supply and achieving decarbonization targets.
Product Overview
It is a compact and integrated system that produces high purity hydrogen gas using water and electrical energy. This technology forms the basis for "green hydrogen" production, especially when integrated with renewable energy sources.

Technical Capabilities and Capacity
This module provides a solution designed for on-site and on-demand hydrogen production.
Hydrogen Production Capacity
2 - 5 Nm³/h (normal cubic meters/hour). This capacity is sufficient to feed small-scale industrial needs or a pilot hydrogen filling station.
Power Consumption
10 - 30 kW
Technology
It uses Polymer Electrolyte Membrane (PEM) electrolysis technology. This technology has significant advantages such as fast switching on and off (dynamic operation), high efficiency and high purity of the hydrogen produced.
- Areas of Use
- Renewable Energy Storage: It provides long-term and lossless energy storage by converting excess electricity from solar or wind power plants into hydrogen.
- On-site Fuel Production: It produces the hydrogen needed for fuel cell systems (vehicles, forklifts, uninterruptible power supplies) directly at the point of use, without the need for transportation.
- Industrial Applications: It provides an alternative to bottled or liquid hydrogen supply in industries that require high purity hydrogen (e.g. electronics, metallurgy, food).
- Pilot Hydrogen Filling Stations: It is used to establish refueling infrastructure for small-scale hydrogen fuel vehicle fleets.
