CBRN Defense Technologies

CBRN Defense Technologies Research Group is a research group that has adopted the principle of meeting the needs of different institutions and organizations, especially the Defense Industry, in a timely, accurate and complete manner according to national and international standards. CBRN Defense Technologies Research Group operates as a team of 31 people with experienced researchers and technicians from different disciplines such as Chemists, Chemical Engineers, Physicists, Molecular Biologists, Genetic Engineers. 

CBRN Defense Technologies Research Group operates in the fields of CBRN Detection, Diagnosis and Diagnosis Systems, CBRN Protection Products and Systems, CBRN Decontamination Products and CBRN Test Services.

CBRN Detection, Diagnosis and Diagnostic Systems: The activities carried out for early, reliable and timely detection in order to be ready for potential threats to chemical defense can be summarized as follows:

Sensing Material Development: Design, Synthesis and Characterization (Design, Synthesis and Characterization) Development of materials for gaseous/liquid media that detect Chemical Warfare Materials (CWM), Toxic Industrial Substances (ZEM), harmful compounds in drinking water and natural water sources, and pollutants that affect air quality in indoor and outdoor environments

Sensor Development: Sensor development activities (Sensor Production, Testing, Analysis and Characterization) by integrating QCM (Quartz Crystal Microbalance), SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) etc. transducers with various coating methods (Jet-Spray, Spin Coating, Electro-Spray etc.) using the developed sensor interface materials,

Sensor Array Development: Development of Sensor Arrays for target applications using the obtained sensors (Electronic and Mechanical Design, Testing, Data Analysis, Application Software)

Prototype/Device Development: Laboratory and field analysis of sensor arrays and development of devices sensitive to target analytes (KHM Detection, ZEM Detection-Diagnostics, Explosive, narcotic, pesticide, VOC detectors etc.)

Test Systems Development: Design, manufacture and installation of fully automated test systems for laboratory testing of sensor/sensor arrays in gaseous and liquid media
