Hydrogen and Fuel Cell
TÜBİTAK MAM-HYPTAG is working on the design and production of fuel cell and electrolyzer module components. In this process, it carries out applied R&D activities on various topics such as module and system design at different power levels, manufacturing and assembly, performance tests, hydrogen production systems and end-user integrations (electric vehicles, microcogeneration systems, portable and stationary power systems).
Fuel cell and electrolyzer components are successfully produced with the existing infrastructure:
- ElectrocatalystCarbon supported Pt and Pt alloy electrocatalysts, Ir based electrocatalysts are produced.
- Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA):Gaz difüzyon tabakalı membran elektrot üniteleri elektrolizör ve PEM, DMYP, DSBHYP uygulamaları için %100 yerli olarak geliştirilebilmektedir.
- Bipolar PlateGraphite and metal based bipolar plates with or without flow channels for various fuel cell applications, titanium bipolar plates and expanded mesh for electrolyzers are produced entirely domestically.
- Workspaces
- Design, development and production of fuel cell and electrolyzer module components (flow channel bipolar/end plate, membrane electrode unit, electrocatalyst) as well as system design, development and production (water/heat management, air/fuel supply, data monitoring and control system components, power conditioning, etc.).
- Design, development and manufacturing of hydrogen production system from sodium borohydride (fully controlled system that can be scaled according to needs)
- Fuel cell based domestic microgeneration systems
- Integration of fuel cells into electric platforms (unmanned aerial vehicles, land and air vehicles, etc.)
- Fuel cell and electrolyzer system automation (data monitoring and control)
- Design and commissioning of fuel cell and electrolyzer power systems
- Providing industrial services in various fields on characterization of fuel cell cell components and system production
