The Vice Presidency of Energy Technologies cooperates with the Marmara Research Center and other organs of TÜBİTAK, as well as with institutions in Turkey and abroad that conduct research and applications on energy issues, and continuously improves its infrastructure facilities and project potential in these areas.
Head of Climate and Life Sciences
Vice Presidency
The Vice Presidency of Climate and Life Sciences conducts research in the fields of climate, environment, biotechnology, marine and earth sciences, and food technologies. Research groups develop solutions in climate and water management, air and water quality, clean energy, biotechnological drug and vaccine development, marine ecosystems, earthquake and earth sciences, and food safety.
Head of Materials and Process Technologies Vice Presidency
The Vice Presidency of Materials Technologies consists of five research groups in the fields of metallic, structural, sensor, chemical process and energetic materials. The Metallic Materials Technologies group carries out casting, coating and characterization studies. The Structural Materials Technologies group works on composite, ceramic and trace-reducing materials.
Polar Research
Institute
The Polar Research Institute (KARE) was established within TÜBİTAK MAM and polar studies are carried out under KARE. KARE aims to support R&D and scientific research, carry out national expeditions, operate polar bases, maintain international cooperation and represent our country with science diplomacy.
