Piezoelectric Material

About

Piezoelectric materials are smart materials with a special crystalline structure that can convert mechanical energy into electrical energy and electrical energy into mechanical energy. Thanks to these unique abilities, they can generate electrical signals when pressure or vibration is applied to them, and when exposed to electric current, they can change shape and create precise movements. This technology paves the way for innovative solutions in strategic sectors such as the defense industry, aerospace, healthcare, automotive and many other fields. Piezoelectric materials are used in a wide range of critical components such as sensitive sensors, medical imaging devices (ultrasound), sonar systems, fuel injectors, vibration sensors and micro positioners. These indigenous piezoelectric materials, developed and produced by TÜBİTAK MAM, meet international standards and are of high quality, and are an important step towards reducing external dependence in critical technologies. With its mass production capacity, these ceramics can be used as an indispensable part of complex systems, strengthening our technological independence and increasing our country's competence in the field of high technology.
