About Us
Infrastructures for thin film coatings are available. The infrastructure with thin film coating systems in the glove box and clean room offers many advanced technological solutions. These systems are equipped with various tools that allow the use of different materials and thin film coating techniques and their characterization (power supplies, OPV and OLED performance measurement system, solar simulator, profilometer, ellipsometer). Each technique is designed to produce thin films that are best suited for specific applications. With these systems, the development and performance enhancement of inorganic solar cells (PV), PV panel production and characterization, organic electronic device production (OLED, OPV, OFET, etc.) and material design, calculations, synthesis (polymer, small molecule, nanomaterial, etc.) and characterization studies for these devices are carried out. In short, we focus on optimizing the conversion of light to energy and energy to light. We also have a lithography infrastructure in a yellow room. Lithography is a patterning method widely used in semiconductor, microelectronics and micro/nano manufacturing processes. Lithography plays a critical role especially in semiconductor manufacturing and nanotechnology, and each method offers an optimized solution according to the application area. The laboratory has one of the most comprehensive thin film growth systems and photolithography infrastructures in Turkey. Photodetector arrays, driver/reader circuits and UV-IR coatings for military purposes are being developed on glass. With the new projects won in our group, supercapacitor studies for energy storage have started.
