About Us
In the Glass Technologies Laboratory, research, development and production of technology demonstration prototypes of glass and glass ceramics, which are the optical components of systems used in military and civilian strategic areas such as aviation, transportation, medicine, lighting, electronics, electronics, sensors, semiconductors, space and display technologies, are carried out to develop functional and innovative materials. In this context;
- Development of glass and glass ceramic compositions with different physical properties,
- Determination of critical temperatures of glasses such as solidification, annealing, softening, working and melting by high temperature viscosity measurement system,
- Optimization of melting and annealing conditions of glasses,
- Determination of controlled crystallization heat treatment conditions of glass ceramics,
- Glass surface modification by ion displacement,
- Determination and optimization of production conditions for borosilicate, alkali alumina silicate, alumina borosilicate based thin glasses with thicknesses below 2 mm,
- Chemical tempering of thin glass with thicknesses below 2 mm
prototype development projects are being worked on in such areas.

About Us
In the Glass Technologies Laboratory-II, studies are carried out to develop thin glass and glass ceramics, which are the optical components of systems used in civilian and military strategic areas such as aviation, transportation, defense and display technologies. In this context, glass surfaces are strengthened by chemical tempering method based on ion exchange and functional prototypes are produced.
