The technology for the detection of the toxic and carcinogenic substance "aflatoxin" in foods, which is an important criterion for food quality, was developed by TÜBİTAK MAM.
TÜBİTAK MAM President Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kılıçaslan visited the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock to establish cooperation within the scope of AFLAMAM aflatoxin analysis technology.
Welcomed by Muharrem Selçuk, Director General of Food Control, Prof. Dr. Kılıçaslan provided information about the immuno affinity columns whose production technology was developed by the TÜBİTAK MAM Gene Engineering and Biotechnology Institute. These antibody and antibody-based analysis products to be used in aflatoxin analysis have wide areas of use in Food Control Laboratories affiliated to the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, food analysis laboratories and diagnostic kit production.
