Smart Mobility Cluster Workshop was organized on 2 May 2017 under the coordination of TÜBİTAK MAM.
The Smart Mobility Cluster was officially established in January 2017 with the signing of the Smart Mobility Cluster Cooperation Protocol under the coordination of TÜBİTAK MAM.
The vision of the Smart Mobility Cluster is to conduct innovative studies and research to provide solutions to mobility problems in congested cities in our country through public-university-industry cooperation. The Smart Mobility Cluster aims to develop smart vehicle prototypes, develop city infrastructures for the use of smart vehicles, and conduct studies on the Internet of Things and data collection.
The Smart Mobility Cluster includes companies operating in the automotive, electronics, software and robotics sectors, universities, R&D centers, local government organizations, chambers of commerce and industry, public institutions, associations, development agencies. "Smart Mobility Cluster Workshop" was organized under the coordination of TÜBİTAK MAM and "National Smart Mobility Roadmap and Action Plans (2017-2020)" were determined and reported. In this direction, the Smart Mobility Cluster works in 4 research groups:
Research Group 1 - Electromobility: Electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, grid integration
Research Group 2 - Smart vehicles: Autonomous SAE levels (1-5)
Research Group 3 - Vehicle-vehicle and vehicle-infrastructure communication
Research Group 4 - Intelligent transportation management systems: Development of public transportation systems, car sharing models, parking lot management systems, big data management.
In the workshop held on 2 May 2017 under the coordination of TÜBİTAK MAM, the general framework of the "Smart Mobility Readiness" Project, which is of great importance for our country, was determined with the participation of representatives of many organizations that plan to be leaders in the cluster and plan to be project partners. Within the framework of the Smart Mobility Readiness Project, the Action Plans of the Smart Mobility Cluster (2017-2023) were determined as follows:
Action-1: Development of Autonomous/Semi-autonomous Vehicle Prototypes
Action-2: Establishment of a Smart Mobility Test Center
Action-3: Establishing a Smart Mobility Pilot Implementation Area
Action-4: Establishment of Smart Mobility Charging Infrastructure
Action-5: Development of Intelligent Transportation Management Systems
