TÜBİTAK MAM has accelerated its activities for young people in order to reach the qualified manpower needed by producing Turkey. In the last 2 years, the number of students participating in scientific activities at Gebze Campus has exceeded 4 thousand.

TUBITAK Marmara Research Center, one of the largest R&D Centers of our country, has achieved a significant success by hosting more than 4,000 students in the activities carried out within the scope of social responsibility projects. Lastly, the Center hosted the 81 schools from 81 provinces project, giving students from various provinces of Turkey the opportunity to work with a scientist in the laboratory for the first time.

During the activities carried out at the center, students were informed about the work of TÜBİTAK and TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center and actively participated in experiments and studies carried out in the laboratory environment. In the activities carried out within TÜBİTAK MAM, students can examine the structures of viruses and bacteria and the surfaces of objects down to the nanometer level with the Electron Microscope at the Institute of Materials, participate in age determination studies of ancient artifacts at the Institute of Earth and Marine Sciences, and learn about the production processes of lithium ion batteries at the Energy Institute.

TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus is one of the most frequently visited places by students studying in engineering departments of universities and basic sciences departments such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemistry and Biology. MAM Institutes, where many students find internship opportunities during the summer months, are opened to special laboratory studies within the Food, Chemical Technology, Gene Engineering and Biotechnology Institutes within certain programs throughout the year.
