Have you visited the Polar Science House?

Our country's first Polar Science House, which was opened in Tuzla Şelale Park in 2018 on World Antarctica Day with the scientific contribution of our Institute's researchers and the support of Tuzla Municipality, welcomes thousands of visitors every year.

It contains a wide range of information from the discovery of the poles to the clothes worn by Turkish scientists in Antarctica. The models of polar creatures in the science house look like the real ones. There is also a cold room that can be cooled down to -17°C where you can feel the poles a little bit. We recommend that school groups make an appointment before visiting the science house, which can be visited for free. Today, it serves with a limited number of visitors within the scope of Covid-19 measures.

Our country's polar studies continue to increase every year, and the turn to do science at the poles adorns the dreams of our young generation and is no longer just a dream. All the visuals inside the polar science house will take you on a journey to the poles...
