A Clean Campus Event was organized by TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) on August 5, 2021 to raise awareness at TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus and to make the livability of the campus healthier.

TÜBİTAK MAM President Dr. Osman Okur, Vice President Prof. Dr. Burcu Özsoy, Consultant Mehmet Şakir Keskin and MAM Staff participated in the event. The areas with high pollution within the campus were predetermined by MAM Security and Civil Defense Directorate and work was carried out in five different areas. Volunteer MAM personnel, who were distributed around the campus in five groups, cleaned the TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus with a meticulous work with the idea of "Clean People, Clean Environment".

Plastic, nylon, glass bottles, glass bottles, broken glass and other wastes in the campus were collected and piled up in predetermined areas. The collected wastes were separated with the help of a tractor.
