TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) Chemical Technology Institute (KTE) is developing safe, dosed and health-standard products that can be prescribed by physicians operating in the field of traditional and complementary medicine.
With the "Development of Traditional Herbal Medicinal Product" project, the herbal extract obtained from the root of 'Ruscus Aculeatus', Anatolian name enir or rabbit apple plant, which is indicated for Venous Circulation Disorders (vasoconstrictor), will enable us to become a country that exports products that are still imported and included in the "Food Supplement" category in our country as Traditional Herbal Product in the process of transforming plants into products by starting from local plants of our country with the strong pharmaceutical production infrastructure at world standards created by TÜBİTAK MAM KTE and cooperation with Atabay Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.In the process of transforming plants into products based on the local plants of our country in cooperation with Atabay Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., it will enable us to become a country that exports products that are still imported and included in the "Food Supplement" category in our country as Traditional Herbal Products.
This situation, which sets an example for the commercialization of technology through Public-Private Sector cooperation, is very important in terms of increasing similar collaborations in the future and reducing the trade deficit with new products with high added value.
