Patent incentives after R&D are of great importance in the development of industrial property and the increase in the number of patents in terms of both quality and quantity.
Within the scope of the "TÜBİTAK Patent Support Program", support is provided to applicants for the preparation of search and examination reports abroad (Austria, Sweden, Denmark, European Patent Office) for patent applications made to the Turkish Patent Institute.
The support amount of EUR 400 provided by TUBITAK was increased to EUR 600 at the TUBITAK Science Board meeting held on December 6, 2014, effective as of January 1, 2015.
Real persons can benefit from the support in five applications and legal entities in twenty applications within a year.
In 2016, it is aimed to realize all of the search and examination reports of patent applications within the Turkish Patent Institute.
If this target is achieved, not only will the costs incurred for research and investigation reports prepared abroad be eliminated, but also the support provided will be shifted to other areas.
