The Vice Presidency of Climate and Life Sciences conducts research in the fields of climate, environment, biotechnology, marine and earth sciences, and food technologies. Research groups develop solutions in climate and water management, air and water quality, clean energy, biotechnological drug and vaccine development, marine ecosystems, earthquake and earth sciences, and food safety.

Head of Materials and Process Technologies Vice Presidency

The Vice Presidency of Materials Technologies consists of five research groups in the fields of metallic, structural, sensor, chemical process and energetic materials. The Metallic Materials Technologies group carries out casting, coating and characterization studies. The Structural Materials Technologies group works on composite, ceramic and trace-reducing materials.

Food Institute FP7-NutraHEALTH Project was featured in the 24th episode of the documentary "My European City" broadcast on TRT Haber.

The NutraHEALTH Project (Project Coordinator: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cesarettin ALAŞALVAR) with a budget of 1.6 million Euros, supported by the European Union 7th Framework Program in the field of Research, Technology Development and Innovation and successfully completed by TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center Food Institute, was broadcast in the 24th episode of the documentary "My European City" on TRT Haber.

In the 24th episode of the documentary "My European City", prepared with the contributions of the Ministry for EU Affairs and broadcast on TRT Haber, the 7th Framework Program, which supports projects in the field of Research, Technology Development and Innovation, was screened.
