Project Summary
The purpose of the project is to ensure that the obligations of the General Directorate of Turkish State Railways (TCDD) under Annex-8 of the system connection agreement are fulfilled.
In this direction, power quality measurement systems in accordance with the technical specifications approved by Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) have been produced and installed in order to evaluate the substations of TCDD in terms of power quality parameters and to identify possible problems. Through these systems, the necessary information infrastructure has been created to develop solutions.
Technical Details
Within the scope of the project, a total of 62 transformer centers:
- 58 Power Quality Analyzer devices,
- 57 GPS antennas and apparatus,
- 61 Power Quality panels and auxiliary equipment
installation has been realized.
The installed systems were enabled to transmit the power quality data obtained and processed via 3G modems to the TEİAŞ Power Quality Monitoring Center. These data were analyzed and Power Quality Reports were prepared for the substations within 8 different Regional Directorates of TCDD.

TCDD Power Quality Analyzer Technology
A total of 58 Power Quality Analyzers and 8 power quality reports were successfully completed and delivered to TCDD.
