Power Systems Research Group
TÜBİTAK MAM Power Systems Research Group is a leading research and development team focusing on the modernization and transformation of electric power systems, assuming a critical role in the era of sustainability and digitalization in the energy sector. In order to contribute to Turkey's technological development in the field of energy, it carries out projects on electricity transmission and distribution systems, renewable energy integration, power systems security, optimization, simulation and data analytics. It meets the needs of our country by conducting applied R&D, product development and consultancy activities in many areas needed in the electricity sector:
- Power systems investment planning based on cost/benefit and risk/impact,
- Renewable energy and storage integration analysis,
- Developing decision support algorithms for grid operation,
- Real-time modeling and development of digital twin infrastructures,
- Information system and software development.
The Power Systems Research Group continues its activities with the vision of conducting research and producing solutions to design the power systems of the future according to the principles of innovation, efficiency and sustainability, and has EERA Smartgrids and Hydropower memberships.
