Dr. Russell Harmon, Director of the International Research Office-IRO of the US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center-ERDC, and Dr. İlker Adıgüzel, Director of the Construction Engineering Research Lab, and their accompanying delegation visited TÜBİTAK MAM on January 21, 2016, under the chairmanship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Makaracı, Vice President of Strategy and Technology Development at TÜBİTAK MAM, accompanied by officials from the Business Development Unit and TÜBİTAK NCCU, to discuss potential cooperation issues in detail.

During this visit, which was a follow-up to ERDC's first visit in 2015 to inspect TÜBİTAK MAM's infrastructure, detailed information was exchanged on the R&D activities being carried out at both centers. The possible cooperation between ERDC and TÜBİTAK MAM's Institute for Environment and Cleaner Production (ITUE), Institute for Energy (IE) and Institute for Materials (ME) were examined in detail in parallel sessions. Discussions will continue to develop joint R&D activities with ERDC.
