In cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) CERN Industry Liaison Office and TUBITAK Marmara Research Center (MAM), "CERN Information Seminar" on Turkey's CERN associate membership and accelerator technologies and the latest developments in the world and in our country was held on March 30, 2016 at TÜBİTAK MAM.

TÜBİTAK MAM President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahadır Tunaboylu, Vice President for Strategy and Technology Development Assoc. Dr. Murat Makaracı, corporate executives and researchers as well as private sector company representatives participated in the Seminar. Hakan Kızıltoprak, CERN-Turkey Industry Liaison Representative and Special Advisor to the TOBB Presidency, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilge Demirköz, Faculty Member of METU Physics Department and Member of TÜBİTAK Science Board, Prof. Dr. Ömer Yavaş, Project Manager of Ankara University Turkish Accelerator Center, Prof. Dr. Serkant Ali Çetin, Faculty Member of Istanbul Bilgi University, and Oğuz Sönmez Sönmez, Manager of Sönmez Transformer, shared their knowledge and experiences.

The seminar created an environment of synergy by contributing to sharing the work and developments with CERN and evaluating possible collaborative opportunities.
