"Opening Meeting and Workshop" was held for the Project on Creation of Strategic Noise Maps of Airports Operated by DHMI in Turkey.
With the contract signed between TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center and the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMI) on 15.11.2013, the project "Creation of Strategic Noise Maps of Airports Operated by DHMI in Turkey" was initiated.
Strategic noise maps will be prepared for Muğla Dalaman, Muğla Milas-Bodrum, Trabzon, Isparta Süleyman Demirel, Nevşehir Cappadocia, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Adıyaman, Ağrı, Amasya Merzifon, Balıkesir Koca Seyit, Balıkesir Merkez, Bursa Yenişehir, Çanakkale, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Erzincan, Hatay, Kocaeli Cengiz Topel, Konya, Malatya, Mardin, Samsun Çarşamba, Siirt, Sivas Nuri Demirağ, Şanlıurfa GAP, Tekirdağ Çorlu, Tokat, Uşak, Bingöl and Şırnak Şerafettin Elçi Airports.
"Project Inaugural Meeting and Workshop" was held on 17-18 February 2014 at Ankara Esenboğa Airport Chief Directorate Simulator and Training Center Directorate. Institute Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ertan DURMUŞOĞLU, Project Manager Dr. Nesimi ÖZKURT, Deniz SARI and Samet Feyyaz HAMAMCI from TÜBİTAK MAM Environment and Cleaner Production Institute, Deniz SARI and Samet Feyyaz HAMAMCI from Project Team, DHMI General Directorate and 67 people representing 31 airports participated in the event.
