The purpose of the meeting is "Information Meeting on the Project for Determination of Bathing Water Profiles in Turkish Coasts". Since the twinning project "Harmonization in Bathing Water Monitoring" being carried out by the Turkish Public Health Institution of the Ministry of Health has a similar purpose, the activities of the projects carried out by both institutions were presented at the meeting and common issues were identified and actions were determined. In addition to the Turkish Public Health Institution of the Ministry of Health, the meeting was attended by experts from the client institution, the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, MAM project staff and the Italian and French experts of the MoH twinning project.

Within the scope of the meeting; the activities realized so far in the project were explained and the opinions of the institutions were received. Draft profile reports for bathing water areas, determination of pollution risk status of bathing water areas, monitoring and measures program, assessment and classification of bathing water quality according to EU regulation and beach profile database system were informed.
