With the participation of Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kılıçaslan, President of the Center, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Makaracı, Vice President, Prof. Dr. Osman Sağdıç, Advisor to the President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cesarettin Alaşalvar, Director of the Institute of Food, and Dr. Osman Okur, Director of the Institute of Chemical Technology, TÜBİTAK MAM infrastructures and technical capabilities were shown on site and information was given about herbal product studies.
Herbal products, which are based on the consumption of completely natural products, industrially processed and consumed for a healthy life, constitute an integral part of the need for a healthy life in today's conditions.
While there are 2700 endemic plant species in the whole of Europe, this figure reaches 3 thousand in Turkey. TÜBİTAK MAM aims to transform this diversity in Turkey, which is among the richest countries in the world in terms of endemic plant treasure, into added value in order to create added value for the national economy.
