"World Intellectual Property Day" was held with an organization organized at TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center.

TUBITAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) Vice Presidency of Strategy and Technology Development (BYST) Patent Support Unit (PDB) organized "World Intellectual Property Day" on 26 April 2017 at TÜBİTAK MAM Conference Hall/Gebze with a wide participation. The event was also announced by WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization), established under the umbrella of the United Nations, on its website.

Patent Support Unit Manager Gülsen Oksay stated that the event was organized to raise awareness about intellectual property on '26 April Intellectual Property Day', the day the agreement establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) entered into force, and made a presentation on "Patent Awareness and Innovations Introduced by the Industrial Property Law". The event was completed with questions and answers.
