We Developed a Polymer Used in Measuring Air Quality

The polymeric adsorbent material required for the determination of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in indoor and outdoor air was first and locally produced by TÜBİTAK MAM Chemical Technology Institute (KTE).

A non-agglomerated, granular and high performance polymeric adsorbent for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) has been developed. It is used for passive sampling of BTEX (Benzene-Toluene-Ethyl benzene-Xylene) or VOCs in indoor and outdoor air samples. It has a particle size of 60/80 mesh and a surface area of 35 m²/g.
