Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kılıçaslan, President of TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM), visited Vice Admiral Adnan Özbal, Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces, at his office.

As TÜBİTAK MAM, we were informed about our infrastructure and our work to provide solutions to the needs of our Naval Forces. Mr. Kılıçaslan talked about the importance of the use of our domestic and national technologies in our Defense Industry, and gave information about the sonar and advanced acoustic systems we have developed, radar absorbing materials, lithium ion battery and battery, our work on fuel cells, our work on marine and naval vehicles, and our infrastructure of Turkey's first and only accredited "Underwater Acoustic Laboratory". It was stated that we are always ready to offer solutions with our infrastructure and know-how in order to reduce foreign dependency in the advanced technology needs of our Naval Forces and to increase our domestic technologies.
