TÜBİTAK MAM Institute of Materials Underwater Acoustics Laboratory (SAL), the first and only accredited infrastructure in its field, conducts studies at national and international level. The laboratory is a "Designated Institute" in the field of underwater acoustics. continues its international activities.

In an ongoing project within the laboratory, an Active Sonar System (Transducers, Power and Electronic Units) for submarine ships was successfully built for the first time in our country. Of the systems to be applied to 3 different ships, the integration and acceptance processes of the first 2 ships were completed and put into service.

The integration activities of the last ship in the project are being carried out.
