A delegation of scientists working in the field of Biotechnology from Tabriz, Iran visited MAM.

The Iranian delegation consisting of Prof. Dr. Mohammad Amin Hejazi, Director of West & Northwest Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran (ABRII), Prof. Dr. Mohammad Saeid Hejazi, Director of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Tabriz University and Davood Souti, CEO of RAHYAB Group visited TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center on December 8, 2016.

The visit program, which took place upon the invitation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Makaracı, Vice President for Strategy and Technology Development, who went to Tabriz from TÜBİTAK MAM to participate in the 4th Tabriz International High and New Technologies Fair last November, was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şaban Tekin, Director of the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Dr. Abdullah Karadağ, Deputy Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cesarettin Alaşalvar, Director of the Food Institute and Necdet Barlas, Strategy Planning Unit Manager.

The Iranian delegation visited the Institute of Gene Engineering and Biotechnology and the Institute of Food, and received information from the managers. Afterwards, they discussed and evaluated the possible cooperation opportunities in a meeting chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Makaracı, Vice President of Strategy and Technology Development at TÜBİTAK MAM.
