On December 05, 2014, TÜBİTAK MAM was visited by a 3-person delegation consisting of Reza MORIDI, Minister of Education, Research and Innovation of the Government of Ontario, Canada, and Vitaly PAROSHYN and Cory MULVIHILL, Directors of the Ministry. The meeting, which was held under the leadership of TÜBİTAK MAM Vice Presidents Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat MAKARACI, Esad AKGÜN, Ali TAVLI and accompanied by the management representatives of the Institute of Environment and Cleaner Production, Institute of Materials, Institute of Gene Engineering and Biotechnology and Institute of Energy, started with the opening speech made by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat MAKARACI and after the mutual acquaintance, general information about our Center was conveyed to the delegation and TÜBİTAK MAM was introduced. General information was given verbally by the Minister of Education - Research and Innovation of the Government of Ontario, Canada. Following the meeting, the delegation visited the sol-gel, electron microscopy and laser spectroscopy laboratories at the Institute of Materials; the water-wastewater, solid waste and marine research laboratories at the Institute of Environment and Cleaner Production; the immunogenetics, enzyme and microorganism genetics, advanced genome and bioinformatics laboratories at the Institute of Gene Engineering and Biotechnology; and the battery, vehicle, combustion and gasification laboratories at the Institute of Energy. The visit was generally beneficial in terms of introducing our Center and exchanging information about the studies carried out. The delegation left the Center with positive impressions.
