"VI. Thermal Power Plant Workshop" organized by TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center Energy Institute and EÜAŞ was held in Rize-İkizdere between 8-10 May 2014 with the participation of 100 people from EÜAŞ, Yıldız Technical University and MAM.

Dr. Murat MAKARACI, Advisor to the President Prof. Dr. Ali ATA, Institute Directors and Deputy Directors and Researchers, EÜAŞ General Manager Mr. Halil ALIŞ and Board Members, Deputy General Managers, General Managers of Subsidiaries, Heads of Departments, Thermal Power Plant Operation Managers, Branch Managers, Dean of the Faculty of Naval Architecture and Maritime Studies of Yıldız Technical University, Prof. Dr. Mehmet TUNABOYLU from EÜAŞ. Halil ALIŞ, General Manager of EÜAŞ and members of the Board of Directors, Deputy General Managers, General Managers of subsidiaries, Heads of Departments, Thermal Power Plant Operation Managers, Branch Managers, Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin, Dean of the Faculty of Naval Architecture and Maritime Studies of Yıldız Technical University, Prof. Dr. İsmail TEKE from the Faculty of Machinery of Yıldız Technical University and some faculty members attended the meeting.

During the three-day workshop, presentations were made under three main headings.

The workshop focused on finding domestic solutions to the problems experienced in thermal power plants and bringing domestic technologies to the country.
