Officials from the UK Higher Education Mission and the British Consulate visited the Center on February 17, 2016 to examine the scientific and technological infrastructure of TÜBİTAK MAM and to discuss potential cooperation opportunities.

During the meeting, TÜBİTAK MAM Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Makaracı and Business Development Unit officials informed the delegation about the structure of TÜBİTAK MAM and the R&D activities being carried out. In line with the interests of the delegation, detailed information on the fields of study of the institutes was shared with the presentations made by the officials of the TÜBİTAK MAM Environment and Cleaner Production Institute, Energy Institute, Food Institute, Gene Engineering and Biotechnology Institute and Earth and Marine Sciences Institute. Possible cooperation issues were evaluated in line with the information shared.

A part of the delegation also participated in the Medical Biotechnology Workshop held at TÜBİTAK TÜSSİDE on February 17-18, 2016 under the coordination of TÜBİTAK MAM Institute of Gene Engineering and Biotechnology.
