Within the scope of the Turkish automotive sector strategy document and action plan, it is aimed to create the necessary infrastructure for the production of domestic brand vehicles.
Turkish Automotive Sector Strategy Document and Action Plan The High Planning Council (HPC) adopted the Turkish Automotive Sector Strategy Document and Action Plan covering the period 2016-2019. The Board's decision on the subject was published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly, the general purpose of the plan, which was prepared under the coordination of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology with the contributions of relevant public institutions and organizations and non-governmental organizations, was determined as "To expand the use of advanced technology and increase the added value ratio with a strong and competitive supply industry and domestic brands produced by itself". The targets set within the scope of the plan are listed as follows:

•  Creating the necessary infrastructure for the production of domestic branded vehicles,
•  To increase the sector's branding capability and global competitiveness,
•  Develop legal and administrative arrangements to strengthen the automotive sector.

It is also aimed to encourage the use of vehicles with lower carbon dioxide emissions by creating a structure in the taxation system that takes into account differences in emission levels.
