President Erdoğan: TEKNOFEST is a technology revolution

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan presented awards to the winners of TEKNOFEST Adana, where science and technology enthusiasts meet. Stating that young people are the hope of Turkey, President Erdoğan said, "TEKNOFEST shows us very clearly that foreign dependency, assembly, and living in need of others is not the destiny of our country. Remember, young people, TEKNOFEST is a youth epic, TEKNOFEST is a technology revolution. TEKNOFEST is the strong voice of idealistic youth sprouting in fertile Anatolian soil."

Stating that young people will make up for their shortcomings, Erdoğan said: "Remember, you are the hope of Turkey, you are the future of Turkey, you are the bright future of Turkey. As the President of Turkey, I ask you to never stop pursuing your dreams. Never stop walking towards your goals with patience and faith, regardless of the difficulties you face. Do not listen to the doomsayers, whose minds are enslaved and whose will is captured, who say 'you cannot do it, you cannot succeed'. Remember that patience is bitter, difficult and hard, but its fruit is always sweet. With the permission of Allah, nothing can escape the hand of faith and determination. Dear young people, I am saying all this while being aware of the fact that Turkey is no longer the old Turkey, Turkey is not the Turkey of 22 years ago. In economy, defense, education, technology infrastructure, we live in a Turkey that cannot be compared with 22 years ago."

Explaining that they have witnessed TEKNOFEST growing wave by wave since 2018, Erdoğan said, "In 2018, we started with a total of 4 thousand 333 teams and 20 thousand competitors in 14 different categories. Last year, we reached 4.5 million visitors with more than 333 thousand teams and more than 1 million competitors in 41 different categories in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. More than 790 thousand teams and more than 1 million 650 thousand competitors applied to TEKNOFEST Adana in 50 different categories."
