According to the news reported by various media outlets, it was stated that police teams conducted a search at the Gebze Campus of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) within the scope of the investigation into the coup attempt of the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) in Kocaeli and that some suspects were detained.

The search was conducted on Sunday, July 31, 2016 and the necessary support was provided to the members of the security forces. As of August 03, 2016, when the news was published, there is no search or detention activity in any unit of our organization.

TÜBİTAK has fought against FETÖ/PDY in the most effective way and will continue to do so in the most effective way.
