TÜBİTAK MAM PARTICIPATED IN THE 1ST SMART CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES CONGRESS AND EXHIBITION

Municipalities, public institutions and organizations, universities and the private sector came together for the effective use of limited resources at the "Smart Cities and Municipalities Congress and Exhibition" held at ATO International Convention and Exhibition Center on January 15-16 under the auspices of the Presidency, in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. During the two-day event, applications in the fields of smart technologies, environment, transportation, security, health and geographical information systems were evaluated.

At the TÜBİTAK MAM stand, where solution proposals and products of the studies supporting smart city applications were also exhibited as the Environment and Cleaner Production Institute, especially "Domestic Flue Gas Analyzer (YEBA), Dissolved Oxygen Sensor, Noise Maps and Noise Barriers, Cavitation System for Zero Waste Approach in Treatment Sludge Management and Natural Treatment Systems" attracted great interest.

As a result of private sector R&D studies within the scope of the Environment and Cleaner Production Institute and industry cooperation, a domestic "Ultrasound Assisted Cavitation Reactor" was developed, which has high biogas efficiency, supports nitrogen and phosphorus recovery, and can be used before sludge digester units in wastewater treatment plants. With the signing ceremony between TÜBİTAK MAM and Biyoflora Ltd. Şti., the "Technology Information Package (TBP)" of the product was delivered, paving the way for the commercialization and launch of the product. The product is expected to be launched soon.
