TÜBİTAK participated in the largest Halal Expo International Trade Fair organized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Standards and Metrology Institute of Islamic Countries (SMIIC) at the Istanbul Expo Center between 23-26 November 2023.
TÜBİTAK stand was among the most popular stands. Products of TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) and TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute (UME) were exhibited at the TÜBİTAK booth.

At the fair, where a wide range of products and new studies related to the halal production sector were exhibited, service and R&D requests of stakeholders were received and visitors were informed about the activities carried out by TÜBİTAK. Visitors also had the opportunity to meet with TÜBİTAK experts and get answers to their questions.
"The 9th World Halal Summit and Islamic Countries Standards and Metrology Institute (SMIIC) organized by Discover Events in cooperation with the Institute of Standards and Metrology of Islamic Countries (SMIIC) under the auspices of the Turkish Presidency: Unlocking Potentials", the 9th World Halal Summit and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Halal Expo 2023 Fair, organized by Discover Events in cooperation with the Standards and Metrology Institute of Islamic Countries (SMIIC) under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, was attended by 40 thousand people from 116 countries, 10 thousand of whom were foreigners, and 2000 B2B meetings were held between businesses in 1.5 days.
The 4-day event is expected to contribute 2 billion dollars to the halal economy.
