A group of 12 lecturers and students from the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) visited TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM).

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Burcu Özsoy, President of TÜBİTAK MAM. During the meeting, a detailed overview of TÜBİTAK MAM's activities, broad areas of expertise and products was presented by Chief Researcher Dr. Samet Feyyaz Hamamcı, Deputy Leader of the Air Quality and Environmental Noise Technologies Research Group. The presentation also included introductory information about TÜBİTAK and TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus. Following the presentation, the students' questions about TÜBİTAK were answered by TÜBİTAK MAM Strategy and Business Development Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abit Balın and Chief Researcher Dr. Samet Feyyaz Hamamcı. After the meeting, TÜBİTAK MAM's Water Safety Laboratory, Biodegradability and Recovery Laboratory, Polymer and Membrane Laboratory were visited and technical staff gave information about the studies and competencies. This visit gave the EdUHK student group the opportunity to observe the research and development capacity of TÜBİTAK MAM and to evaluate cooperation opportunities.
