A meeting and field study was held on April 12, 2021 by the delegations of TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM), General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA) and SAHA Istanbul for the planned project on the Recovery of Rare Earth Elements by Bioliquic Method.

Dr. Yasin ERDOĞAN, SAHA Istanbul Secretary General İlhami KELEŞ, TÜBİTAK MAM Vice President Mehmet Sait KARACA, MTA Deputy General Manager Dr. Emrah AYAZ, MTA General Manager Advisor Cahit DÖNMEZ, Ankara University YEBIM Director Prof. Dr. Yusuf Kağan KADIOĞLU, MTA Central Anatolia 4th Regional Manager Uğur ÇAKAR and officials from TÜBİTAK MAM, MTA and SAHA Istanbul attended the meeting.
At the meeting held within the scope of the project to be carried out by TÜBİTAK MAM, in which the General Directorate of MTA and SAHA Istanbul will be partners, detailed evaluations were made on the Recovery of Rare Earth Elements with the Bioliquic Method and the objectives were set out. In this direction, Expert Researcher Dr. Neslihan KARATUĞ from TÜBİTAK MAM Gene Engineering and Biotechnology Institute and Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. İsa KARAMAN took samples from different regions of MTA's licensed land. The answer to whether the Recovery of Rare Earth Elements will be realized with the biolich method will be obtained as a result of the laboratory studies to be carried out within GMBE.
