In the project "ZERO BRINE- Re-designing the value and supply chain of metals and minerals: a circular economy approach for the recovery of resources from saline impaired effluent (brine) generated by process industries", the project aims to recover salts (magnesium, potassium salts, sodium chloride, carbonates and other salts) from the water produced as waste by various industries, thus saving raw materials, recovering and reusing water and energy (through waste heat recovery).

The ZERO BRINE project develops technical solutions for resources that can contribute to the circular economy, taking into account environmental, economic and social benefits, and advanced opportunities to enable the implementation of concepts such as industrial symbiosis. In this context, an online training program titled "Water and Valuable Material Recovery in Industries with Circular Economy Approach" will be organized on 21-22 April 2021 under the coordination of TÜBİTAK MAM ÇTÜE, where basic concepts and indicators related to the circular economy approach, as well as the outputs obtained through pilot/demo studies implemented within the scope of the project in four different countries will be shared. On the first day of the training (21 April 2021), content will be shared for public institutions, universities, chambers of industry and organized industrial zone managers, associations and unions, and on the second day (22 April 2021) for industrial enterprise representatives.
