Within the scope of TUBITAK 4007 DISASTER REGION "SCIENCE EVERYWHERE" SPECIAL SUPPORT CALL organized by Gemlik District Directorate of National Education, the experts of our Polar Research Institute brought the poles to Hatay.
During the 7th National Antarctic Science Expedition, the science team experts, who were deeply saddened by the disaster on the continent, rushed to the disaster zone for our children affected by the earthquake as soon as the expedition ended. Polar Experts, who took part in the project supported by TÜBİTAK, organized different workshops and presentations to improve our children's perspective on science, share their sorrow and ensure that they grow up in the light of science. Rock and lava samples brought by researchers from the continent fascinated the children. From polar bears to penguins, the children learned a lot of different information and the little children had fun coloring polar creatures.
In the project, which was held in İskenderun, Hatay on April 12-14, Gemlik District Governorship, Gemlik Municipality, Gemlik Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Gemlik District Health Directorate completed a successful project work with the devotion of each participant.
