The opening speech was delivered by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Bekci, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Havva Kazdal Zeytin from TÜBİTAK MAM Materials Institute gave information about global warming, greenhouse gas effect, warming in water, materials and waste methods, steel and production techniques, common areas of use and steel types, and informed the participants about the establishment, functions and projects carried out by TÜBİTAK MAM.

At the end of the conference, which continued with a question and answer session, Associate Prof. Dr. Şahlan Öztürk, Director of the Institute of Science and Technology, presented a certificate of appreciation to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Havva Kazdal Zeytin.
