The future of energy technologies was discussed with a focus on artificial intelligence and renewable energy.
TÜBİTAK contributed to the events organized as part of the March 8-14 Science and Technology Week through the Marmara Research Center (MAM) Energy Technologies Vice Presidency. Within the framework of the events, two important interviews were held with the participation of experts in their fields.
In the first interview, Dr. Doğan Gezer, Vice Presidency Coordinator of TÜBİTAK MAM Energy Technologies, presented the current status and future potential of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydroelectric, biomass and geothermal in the light of technological developments: Renewable Technologies", Dr. Doğan Gezer explained the current state of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydroelectric, biomass and geothermal and their future potential in the light of technological developments. At the same time, he inspired young people by touching on the intersection of digitalization and sustainable energy systems.
In his presentation titled "Artificial Intelligence Studies in Energy", Dr. Serkan Buhan, Research Group Leader at TÜBİTAK MAM Energy Technologies Vice Presidency, shared with the audience the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence technologies in areas such as data analytics, predictive maintenance, energy demand forecasting and smart grids. He presented striking examples of how artificial intelligence, which has become one of the indispensable elements of digital transformation in the energy sector, can be used more effectively in the future.
The talks attracted great interest from researchers working in the field of energy as well as students, who are the scientists of the future. TÜBİTAK MAM continues to contribute to the sustainable development goals of our country with its pioneering work in energy technologies.
