"Strategic Partnership Cooperation Protocol" was signed between TÜBİTAK MAM, Turkey's first R&D institution, and ASPİLSAN on November 22, 2019.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kılıçaslan, President of TÜBİTAK MAM; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Makaracı, Vice President of MAM; Prof. Dr. Abdülkadir Balıkçı, Director of the Energy Institute; Assoc. Dr. Fehmi Akgün, Deputy Director of the Energy Institute; İlhan Bölük, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ASPİLSAN; Ferhat Özsoy, General Manager of ASPİLSAN and the accompanying delegation.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kılıçaslan, President of our Center, stated that the Battery Technologies Center of Excellence, which was established in 2004, contributes to the nationalization move of our country with advanced technology.

He stated that TÜBİTAK MAM should be seen as the Battery R&D Center of ASPİLSAN Enerji A.Ş. with its qualified human resources and infrastructure facilities, and that it is important to continue working by deciding on the next technology together.

İlhan Bölük, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ASPİLSAN, expressed his satisfaction with the "Strategic Partnership Cooperation Protocol" signed with TÜBİTAK MAM, and emphasized the importance of reducing our country's foreign dependence in the field of portable energy systems, which is possible through joint work areas.

Within the scope of the "Strategic Partnership Cooperation Protocol" signed between TÜBİTAK MAM and ASPİLSAN Enerji A.Ş., it is aimed to cooperate in the fields of Battery Technologies, Energy Storage Systems and Fuel Cell in order to provide services in the aviation, rail systems, etc. sectors.
