Prof. Dr. Şaban Tekin, Director of the TÜBİTAK MAM Institute of Gene Engineering and Biotechnology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Karadağ, Deputy Director, Dr. Osman Okur, Director of the Institute of Chemical Technology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somer Bekiroğlu, Lead Researcher, and Dr. Özgür Yılmaz, Expert Researcher in Sensor Materials Systems at the Institute of Materials, were present at the meeting, where information about the infrastructure and capabilities of our Center was given.
Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kılıçaslan, President of our Center, stated that duplication in the use of Turkey's resources should be prevented and the continuity of the knowledge gained should be ensured.
Mr. Kılıçaslan emphasized that there are important studies, products and projects in the field of cancer, especially Turkey's first biosimilar drug, and that MAM is a national value with its infrastructure facilities and developing applied R&D know-how.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Oran stated that serious work continues in groups in the field of cancer and that there should be an umbrella organization for communication and knowledge accumulation.
