"TÜBİTAK MAM 2016 RESEARCH AND SUPPORT AWARDS CEREMONY"

Within the scope of TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) Research and Support Awards, "2016 Research and Support Awards Ceremony" was held on May 26, 2017 at TÜBİTAK MAM.

The ceremony, which is traditionally organized every year to encourage success and recognize employees, was attended by TÜBİTAK President, MAM President, TÜBİTAK Secretary General, Presidential Advisors, BİLGEM President, TÜSSİDE Director, UME Deputy Director, MAM Board Members, MAM Vice Presidents, Institute and Unit Managers and many MAM employees. Following the opening speech by MAM President Dr. Orkun Hasekioğlu, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Arif Ergin, President of TÜBİTAK, delivered his speech.

Following the presentation of Certificates of Appreciation to "Employees who have completed 10-15-20-25-30 and 35 years at TÜBİTAK MAM" and "Patenting Inventors", the awards were presented to the organizations and employees who were entitled to receive awards in the categories of "Research Support", "Collaboration", "Technology Development", "Innovation" and "Most Successful Research Team" within the scope of the now traditional TÜBİTAK MAM Research and Support Awards.

Hüseyin Çamkerten from the Energy Institute and Aydın Bahar from the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology received the Research Support Award, which is given within the scope of all kinds of information, experience, sharing, training and consultancy support, testing and analysis studies, method and process development studies carried out to make all the studies carried out more efficient and effective.

The "Cooperation Award", which is given to external stakeholders who provide the greatest benefit to our Center with their collaborative efforts, was presented to Burçak Çabuk on behalf of the CBRN Defense Group Presidency of the Ministry of National Defense.

The Technology Development Award, which is given in consideration of the economic benefit that the developed products and technologies will provide to our country, was presented to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selma Öztürk, Project Manager of the Institute of Gene Engineering and Biotechnology "Development of Mycotoxin Analysis Methods in Traditional Foods" and the Project Team.

The Innovation Award, which is given in consideration of the innovative nature and application potential of the products and technologies developed, was given to Assoc. Prof. Fatma Gül Boyacı San, Project Manager of the "Boron-Based Fuel Cell Range Extender for Electric Vehicles" Project, and the Project Team.

Two Project Teams were deemed worthy of the Most Successful Research Team Award, which is given to the working group that has made the most significant contribution to our institution in the fields of technology, products and scientific studies with their work. The award was shared by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emel Musluoğlu and Project Team, Project Manager of the Institute of Materials "CBRN Sensor Technologies Project Group" and Ali Önder Biliroğlu and Project Team, Project Manager of the Institute of Energy "Rail Vehicle Technologies Project Group".
