TÜBİTAK MAM Organized by the Institute of Chemical Technology (CTE) and opened by Prof. Dr. İbrahim KILIÇASLAN, President of MAM. The 2nd "Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products Consultation Meeting" of the Ministry of Health, Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK) was held on March 21, 2019 at TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center with the participation of academicians and experts from the public, private sector, universities, independent pharmacists and MAM Institutes.
In his speech, our President Prof. Dr. İbrahim KILIÇASLAN emphasized the importance of Turkey's rapid transition to domestic national production, especially in the pharmaceutical sector, as in every field.
Prof. Dr. Ülker BEKER Prof. Dr. Ülker BEKER gave information about the project titled "Development of Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products" carried out in CTE and emphasized the importance of firstly harvesting with the right seed and harvesting and then only the production of traditional herbal domestic medicinal products approved by the Turkish Ministry of Health Medicines and Medical Devices Agency in the preparation of herbal medicinal products of medical standards and quality prepared from our endemic plant diversity richness that have protective and therapeutic effects on human health and have traditional use. In the afternoon part of the GBTÜ Consultation Meeting. In the panel moderated by Prof. Dr. Gülaçtı TOPÇU, a general evaluation was made and problems and solutions were discussed. After the panel, the participants were informed about the Herbal Medicine Center of Excellence and Clean Production areas established within the scope of the "Development of Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products" project.
