Cultural and natural assets that fall within the scope of the Law No. 2863 on the Protection of Cultural and Natural Assets and cultural and natural assets registered in the inventory of the Museum Directorates affiliated to the General Directorate of Cultural Assets and Museums and private museums and collectors operating under the supervision of the General Directorate of Cultural Assets and Museums, and our Ministry A Cooperation Protocol was signed for the C14 age determination of cultural and natural assets unearthed during scientific excavations carried out with their permission at the Accelerated Mass Spectroscopy (AMS) Laboratory of the Institute of Earth and Marine Sciences within the Marmara Research Center (MAM) of TÜBİTAK.

Within the scope of the protocol, the relevant Museum Directorates or Restoration and Conservation Central and Regional Laboratory Directorates under the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums should be contacted for the procedures regarding the cultural assets for which C14 age determination is requested.
