Developed for the Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM) in cooperation with STM Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik Tic. A.Ş. and TÜBİTAK MAM, developed for the Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM), was exhibited on a Turkish armoured vehicle for the first time at the ADEX 2018 Exhibition in Azerbaijan. Within the scope of the technology development project, the first prototypes of the "Antenna Array Unit" operating at radio frequency were successfully developed by the TÜBİTAK MAM Materials Institute, Millimeter Wave and Terahertz Technologies Research Laboratories (MİLTAL), together with feasibility tests, and then turned into a commercial product by STM.

UHTES, which is vehicle-mounted and can remotely detect whether there are people behind obstacles or not, is critical to the success of hostage rescue and counter-terrorism operations where it is not possible to get close to the target, by enabling the detection of people or living beings in remote buildings.
