The plant control system developed for Deriner Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) was commissioned for the first unit of Deriner HEPP
The plant control system developed by TÜBİTAK MAM Energy Institute Power Plant Control Technologies Group for Deriner Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) of EÜAŞ HEPP Department was commissioned for the first unit of Deriner HEPP. Signed in July 2017, the project covers the development and renewal of the unit, switchgear, auxiliary systems and spillway local control systems, control room and server systems with today's approaches. At the end of the project, it is aimed to increase the operational efficiency and availability of the power plant by commissioning new control and command systems, to participate in secondary frequency control, and to carry out system continuity and cyber security works. The related project is targeted to be completed in 2019.
Consisting of 4 units, Deriner HEPP has an installed capacity of 670 MW. Deriner HEPP, the 6th largest hydroelectric power plant of our country, produced approximately 2 billion kWh of electricity in 2016, meeting 7 thousandths of our country's electricity demand.
This commissioning was the first commissioning over 100 MW realized by the Power Plant Control Technologies Group.
